The conference will take place at the campus of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, in Porto, Portugal, from 2 to 3 November 2028 . While initially targeted to take place in Japan, the conference has been moved back to Europe due to the current geopolitical instability context.
MDA 2028 (www.engeduconferences.com/MDA2028/) is held every 2 years and covers the full spectrum of materials engineering and technology. It provides an international forum for researchers, engineers, and professionals to share breakthroughs in metals and alloys, polymers and composites, ceramics, soft materials, mechanical metamaterials, and biomaterials, promoting scientific exchange between academia and industry.
The conference is chaired by Lucas F. M. da Silva (University of Porto, Portugal) and co-chaired by Zhengjin Wang (Xi'an Jiaotong University, China), Kevin T. Turner (University of Pennsylvania, USA), and Fátima Vaz (University of Lisbon, Portugal).
